Our Founder
Henry A. (Hal) Thomas, Principal

In 2005, after years of serving as a Technology Consultant and Business Executive for various national telecommunications organizations, Henry founded Aldon Financial Group. He saw the need for a local company that could understand the issues facing business owners and executives managing privately and closely held companies.  Throughout his career, Henry has been recognized as possessing the skills and experience necessary to develop this understanding by professional organizations and by his peers as evidenced by the following awards received while managing other organizations: 3x Dallas 100 (SMU Caruth Haven Institute), 2x FastTech 50 (Arthur Andersen), 2x Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist - Southwest Region, (Ernst & Young), Celebration of Enterprise - Collin County, PaceSetter (Deloitte and Touche) and others not mentioned.

Henry is an Eagle Scout, graduate of Texas A&M University - BSEE, Licensed by the State of Texas as a Professional Engineer, Loan Officer, Realtor and Insurance Agent (Health, Life and Accident, Property and Casualty).


Welcome to Aldon Financial Group. Our founder believes that business owners of privately and closely held companies, along with their executive teams and employees represent a very special market upon which the focus our service.  From our own entrepreneurial experience we understand using loans, real estate and insurance products in our business and how they are used in yours too.  

Having bought and sold companies before, we also understand how to develop, maintain and realize the value of a company.  In fact, our genesis as Aldon Financial Group is the result of more than a year long analysis of the relevant factors involved in the sale of assets of another company in 2004 that our founder was associated and the more than a dozen acquisitions that were complete during the pervious ten year period.

In summary, every dollar spent by companies either work towards building value or not.  Obviously, business owners seek to hire the very best people they can to grow and manage their business.  Accounting, sales, customer service, employee relations, contract management, product development, operations and production are typically areas that report directly to the CEO, COO or CFO or are considered vital to the executive level of operations.  These departments make decisions every day to accomplish the goals of the organization.  However, what we discovered through our analysis when buying companies or their assets and when selling ours was that managers consistently overlooked three core areas common to every business that consistently eroded value. 

We attribute this mostly to the saying "out of sight - out of mind".  Some parts of the business only require managerial attention on an annual or multiyear basis.  These include the questions: 1) should we renegotiate our interest rates on our commercial loans, lease or purchase equipment and own our own facilities; 2) has our insurance coverage kept pace with our growth and changes in our business, are the gaps filled and has coverage requirements changed since we last had the policy issued; and, 3) are the taxes, insurance and costs of our real estate which we own or lease being managed efficiently, what is the current trend in the market or are there opportunities to justify making a change today?  We believe that because these issues are presented so infrequently to most businesses, that their managers miss the opportunity to take advantage of changing market conditions because they just don't have time to revisit these issues often enough.

But we do, and that is what we have to offer you!

At Aldon Financial Group, we specialize in the education of business owners, executives and employees on how to ensure the money they have worked hard to earn is preserved to build value for them.  Our desire is to first help the business owner or investor by providing access to the wholesale markets for lending, real estate and insurance solutions.  Second, we seek to bring a comprehensive solution while keeping our presence as less intrusive as possible.  Since the loan covenants often dictate insurance requirements, and business interests influence risk assessments, and real estate needs drives capital requirements we see the need to think strategically by keeping all three areas in mind simultaneously.  This allows us to gather information once and to produce comprehensive results for our clients.

Not every client has needs which require all of these services at the same time.  Our flexibility to offer mortgage solutions separately from real estate and insurance services is core to our value to you as a client.  Currently, Aldon Financial group has access to loan, real estate and insurance products from more than 350 organizations.  These solutions can be assembled collectively or provided separately.

Next, we understand there is something very special about the people who work for private and closely held businesses.  They consider each other family.  Aldon Financial Group understands that to do business with the company means that we must be prepared to offer the same products and level of service to the employees that work for the company-- in essence, we need to become one of the family too!  We understand this requirement and we are glad to offer the same.  We even go one step further -- we extend these products and services to anyone you call friend as well.

Lastly, we want to tell you before you ask us the answer to the common question -- how much do you charge?

Have you ever heard someone say "I have a secret as to how to make your business run more efficiently? Or, I know how you can save money when you buy; and, if you hire me I will show you how it's done?" It happened to us all the time.

At Aldon Financial Group we are compensated by the lender, as a result of the real estate closing or by the insurance company that you choose to do business with.  As the broker, we believe that our objective is to provide you information which you find useful in making your decisions regarding how you run your business and conduct your personal affairs.  The more confidence you have in our ability to find competitive options to help you accomplish your goals the more successful we will be as we represent our carriers and grow our business.  When we begin a relationship with you we will clearly identify the fees (if any) that are to requested of you. This way you know the answer to the question that is on most people's mind --How much does your service cost?.  If you choose not to go forward with a particular solution we prepare, there will be no surprises and no obligations either.
